I'm so excited to reveal our new logo!
After two years in business, I thought it was time to simplify our logo ~ and what better day to introduce it than Beltane, the festival of flowers, fertility, and traditional beginning of the Celtic Summer!
While I still love our original one, the new florapothecarie logo is a bit cleaner, simpler, and frankly - easier to read when it's small on packaging! I commissioned illustrator Nina Magradze, creator of our original Flora face, to design a simplified version of our lady of flowers. This airy, swirly new Flora also has a fuller face and lips, which I think better represents real beauty, not the manufactured skinny idealized version of beauty we are so often force-fed by popular media. I paired it with a more modern serif font for our brand name in our signature "matcha green" color and positioned our name a bit off-center because nature — and beauty — is imperfect, and life is a little off-kilter.
With this new logo comes new packaging, too. (Photos coming soon!) But! Because we are committed to zero waste, you may still see our old logo and packaging on your purchases for the next few weeks as we phase out the old before bringing in the new.
And what better way to celebrate than chocolate? Special thanks to my friends (and fellow 2018 reSET Impact Accelerator cohort) Michael and Jennifer Sauvageau of Noteworthy Chocolates for making this logo launch even sweeter by engraving the new logo on chocolate!
