Self Care Routine 7: Avé Rivera #SelfLoveMonth

florapothecarie is declaring February to be #SelfLoveMonth. To celebrate, we've asked a few of our natural beauty friends to share their self-care routines. We hope they will inspire you to take time to care for and love yourself this month and every month. See all self-care routines here.

Our seventh self-care routine comes from artist Avé Rivera, who has a great alternate use for beard oil:

I’ve been a fan of florapothecarie’s Deodorant Cream for a while now. I use it every day! I was so happy to find a natural deodorant that actually works and can last a zumba class 💃🏽. It’s a tiny luxury for my underarms.

I bought the Bergamot + Orange Beard Oil for my little brother for Christmas, but after looking at the ingredients, I knew it would make a great sealant for a twist out. After I wash and detangle my hair, I section it off. I then twist each section; first adding the Hair Milk by Carol's Daughter and then the beard oil to each twist (this part usually takes an hour or two, which I use to catch up on TV). The next morning I untwist, fluff, and style!
